At age 2 I began plunking out songs by ear on a toy organ and for my 6th birthday received
a real organ and lessons, followed by flute and piano instruction, handbell and chancel choir; then piano performance
and theory courses through the Royal Conservatory of Music. I began my harp studies as an adult with Phyllis Ensher-Peters, student
of Carlos Salzedo at the Curtis Institute of Music and a principal orchestral harpist since 1958. I am
employed at Trinity UCC in Richland as Director of Music/Organist and am a member of the Harrisburg Harp Orchestra
and the Ryeland Harp Ensemble.
Since 1984 I have provided music for numerous wedding ceremonies, receptions, bereavement
and private celebrations, restaurants, country clubs, nursing facilites, hospitals, churches, fraternal organizations, awards
ceremonies, museums, television and radio stations, retail openings and events, fairs and festivals. I have been privileged
to share the stage with internationally known as well as many talented area musicians.
I am reliable,
punctual and truly love working with customers to create a meaningful and unique event at a reasonable cost. I have
primary and back-up instruments and transport vehicles so that you may select your favorite music, relax
and enjoy your special day.
I look forward to hearing
from you to make "Beautiful Harp Music" possible at your event.
